Connect your email server to SubVerse using IMAP and SMTP.
Connect your email server to SubVerse using IMAP and SMTP. Let an agent read your inbox and reply to customers, or use your SMTP credentials to send emails from Functions and Orchestrations.
What you can do
Capability | What it does |
Reply to emails with an agent | An agent reads new emails in your inbox and replies in the same thread, including attachments. |
Control who gets replies | Allow or block specific senders, so the agent only replies to the emails you want. |
Send emails from your workflows | Send emails with attachments from Functions, Orchestrations, and agents, using your own mail server. |
How it works
There are two ways to connect.
Email channel
For an inbox an agent can read and reply to. SubVerse checks the inbox every minute and replies from the same address.
Customer sends email→Your inbox→SubVerse reads (IMAP)→Agent replies (SMTP)
SMTP credentials
For sending only. Use them in a Function or Orchestration to send emails.
Function or Orchestration→Send email step→Your SMTP server→Recipient
What you'll need
An email account with IMAP and SMTP access turned on
The account's username and password, or an app password if your provider requires one
Your provider's SMTP host, port, and encryption type
Your provider's IMAP host and port, if an agent will read the inbox
An email agent in SubVerse, if you want automatic replies
